Tragedy in Haiti for Devastating Earthquake |

 The devastating earthquake that shook Haiti caused a tragedy to this nation that is still unknown at present by the international community due to the collapse of communication systems.
The news extracts received in this capital are more alarming each time and refer to the destruction of a great part of the infrastructure of the capital of that country, which is the poorest of the hemisphere.
The first photos published by the Dominican press show just a part of the magnitude of the disaster with images of numerous collapsed buildings as the emblematic National Palace, seat of the government.
Haitian diplomatic sources disclosed that President Rene Preval is alive even though they did not give details about his situation.
Haitipal television channel, from Puerto Principe, reported that the Ministries of Finance, Work, Communication and Culture suffered serious damages.
The United Nations underlined in a press release that their installations in Puerto Principe suffered serious damages and some of the employees are missing.
The number of dead and injured people is still unknown even in the first hours of Wednesday, but humanitarian sources presume it is high.
Head of the Emergency Operations Center General Juan Manuel Mendez announced that the "Bolt Plan", which includes the mobilization of armed forces to help the population and guarantee security and order, was implemented.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake had an intensity of 7.0 degrees on the Richter magnitude scale and took place at 16:53 local time.
The USGS reported 12 later replicas that varied from 5.9 to 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale.
Meanwhile, some countries of the region announced the beginning of preparations to aid Haiti as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Argentina and the United States.
