At 6: 00 am (local time) (6: 30 am in Cuba) opened most of the more than 39,000 tables installed in 13 683 polling stations, which will remain in operation for 12 hours to ensure the right to vote for 18.8 million Venezuelans, Telesur network reported. 

According to surveys, the Acting President Nicolas Maduro will emerge as winner ahead of the option the right, Henrique Capriles, loser in the elections of last October 7 when confronted by Commander Hugo Chávez, who died on March 5 this year.
