Solar Heater• The only one in the country and this year will produce over 4 000 units operating almost at full capacity

After more than a year of inactivity, the solar heater factory in the municipality of Morón, Ciego de Ávila province, went into full production revival, a fact that will allow the plant to fulfill the commitments of this year and get close to the top of its capacity.

Exclusive to Invasor digital, Ricardo Ulloa González, director of the Company for Refrigeration Equipment Production-better known as RENSOL-said that so far they have produced over 1 700 heaters, and have the raw material to complete the 4 432 units planned for 2012.

He expressed that marketing goes according to contracts and they have already sold about 950 units, mainly to the ministries of Public Health and Tourism, and the ALMEST construction entity, among others.

Considered pillars of the Energy Conservation Program, the model developed in the factory (vacuum tubes) achieves better heat transfer and is more efficient than the compact ones and those of flat plate with copper pipes.

One of a kind in the country and one of the most modern in Latin America, the factory had its operation interrupted shortly after its inception in 2010 until February this year when it stabilized the manufacturing of solar heaters of Chinese technology.

Up to now, RENSOL has also produced 360 galvanized pallets, employed at the ports to move goods from the ship to the warehouses, and 1 700 plastic tanks for storing liquids.
